Raihan Ray Sayeed is well-known for his intellectual
abilities. He is a man who is gifted with quick comprehension skills. A bright
student while at high school and college he has always been a man with humbleness
of heart towards children. He considers every child to be innocent as a dove.
He believes that every child is a gift of God and not just a mere accident. It
is immaterial for him whether the child he loved to help was from a well to do
family or from the slummy residential areas. His hand of help is readily
stretched towards the needy and desolate people.
The utmost interest in children charity has led Raihan Ray
Sayeed to the extent of initiating an orphan age for the devastated and
forsaken children. It is being said about him that neither the scourging sun,
the ravaging rain nor the coarse winter can stop Raihan Ray Sayeed from being
reached the children in need.
It so happened one day, while Raihan Sayeed was on his way
on the bike towards the orphanage when he heard a child’s voice crying
bitterly. It was early morning at 5 o’clock when hardly there were pedestrians found
on the street. Raihan Sayeed looked around to venture for the direction of the
voice and in silence without a minute’s delay he headed forward. Raihan reached
the spot where he discovered an infant draped in purple thrown scarcely. Without delay, his hands reached out to lift
up that newly born life to hold at his bosom. It was a baby girl, and Raihan
Sayeed realized why the child has been thrown into the garbage can. He took the
child and headed towards the hospital.
The child was then cleaned and medically checked by the
hospital staff to ensure that she is safe. Later on, the child was handed over
to her rescuer Raihan Sayeed, who then reported the incidence to the police
station and safely took the child to the orphanage. He carefully entrusted the
child to the care of one of the governesses employed for taking care of the
infant children.
The child would have succumbed to starvation and illness
finally resulting to death if had it not been Raihan Sayeed to rescue the child
thus saving her life from the dirty garbage can. Today, many children from the
orphanage have studied and become successful in their careers. Many of them
have been adopted by barren yet wealthy families. The name Raihan Ray Sayeed is
heard through the lips of many thus blessing him for his umpteen works towards
children.
